DCS Instructor Bags Several Awards at South Korean Mobile Engineering Course

Kenneth Talamayan, a new DCS faculty member, garnered several awards during his participation at the Mobile Engineer course in Hyundai Information Technology Center, Korea. The course was conducted from May 9 2005 to July 29 2005 and was sponsored by the Korean Agency for Digital Opportunity and Promotion. There were sixteen participants from different Asian countries. Having garnered consistently high marks during the course, Kenneth bagged the "Excellent Records Award"; he was likewise involved in two group projects that also merited accolades from the course organizers. The first, for "Best Mobile Project Contributor", was for the design and development of a mobile game using WIPI 2.0. Together with the other Filipino participants, Kenneth was also credited the "Most Distinguished Award" for Team Philippines' country report and presentation on the current ICT status in the country.
