Mission
The mission of the UP College of Engineering Library is to develop a collection and render services that will meet standards of excellence to support quality engineering education, engineering research productivity and extension programs on information retrieval and dissemination.

Vision
The UPCOE Library envisions to evolve as The National Engineering Library and Information Center that provides organized information sources and high quality services.

Goals
To facilitate the academic learning of the College of Engineering community, its faculty, students and staff by providing a dynamic library environment through the use of Information and Communication Technology in collecting, organizing and disseminating available information resources.

Objectives
The UPCOE Library foresees the following major developments by 2003:

  1. To provide adequate and relevant collection of books, serials and multimedia materials in the field of Engineering, Science and Technology.
  2. A Completed retrospective conversion of bibliographic database from T-Series to Maelisa Integrated Library System.
  3. Knowledgeable and trained staff who can assist in the organization of the Library.
  4. Efficient extension programs to include user education services and document delivery.
  5. The existence of a seed amount of an endowment fund to sustain the collections development program and to support the IT structure of the Library.
  6. To expand and upgrade technology tools that enable users to access web-based information resources.
  7. To transfer location from the Melchor Hall to the new three-storey building.
