Study Grants
The
University of the Philippines has awarded Study Grants to deserving students
who will take or are taking the BS GE program. The Grant is based upon a competitive
exam.
Requirements
1. A duly accomplished application form
2. Applicant must be a Filipino citizen and a graduate of a four-year course in a recognized high school. He/she must also have passed the UP College Admission Test.
3. Transcript of records. College student with no failing marks in Math and Physics may take the exam. His/her average grade will be deducted by .2 for every collegiate unit he/she has taken.
4. Applicant must be willing to sign a contract for any government agency one year for every year of Grant or fraction thereof.
Benefits
1. Free tuition and other matriculation fees.
2. Mothly allowance of PhP 300 for ten months plus PhP 600 if grantee is enrolled during summer.
3. Allowance of PhP 200 per semester (plus PhP 60 for summer enrollees) for books and school supplies.
