MS Remote Sensing
Any holder of a bachelor's degree in engineering, agriculture, forestry, geology, architecture or related field from a duly accredited institution may, upon application, be admitted to the degree program in accordance with University rules and regulations for admission.
A student whose academic and/or experience record indicate adequate preparation for graduate work in his field of endeavor may, upon application, be admitted as a degree student. Others may be admitted as non-degree students, in which case they shall not be allowed to enroll for more than one semester except by special permission of the Dean of the College of Engineering. Non-degree students who are able to demonstrate creditable performance in graduate courses may apply for transfer to degree-student status subject to approval of the U.P. Remote Sensing and GIS Advisory Committee.
Applications for admission into the program shall be submitted to the Chairman of the Department of Geodetic Engineering who will then refer the same for evaluation of the UP Remote Sensing and GIS Advisory Committee before endorsement for approval by the Dean of the College of Engineering.
Each application for admission to the program must be accompanied by an
official transcript of records, two (2) written recommendations from former
professors and the officially prescribed application fee .
TCAGP
For the Course in Geodesy and Photogrammetry:
Any holder of a B.S. Engineering degree who has either completed eight units
in surveying or rendered at least five years service in the government in
the field of surveying; or, any graduate in Surveying who has possesses
a working knowledge of calculus, may be admitted to the course. The applicant
must also pass a written examination in Mathematics (Geometry, algebra,
trigonometry) and basic principles of surveying.
For the Course in Photo Interpretation:
Any holder of a B.S. degree in Agriculture, Geology, Forestry, Engineering
or in any other related major field provided he has rendered at least two
years service in the government in his proposed field of specialization
may be admitted to "Course B".
For the Photo Interpretation in Land Appraisal Course:
Anybody who has finished at least two years college, and
1. has completed a course in plane surveying; or
2. has had at least three years experience in land surveying as sketchman
or transit man; or
3. has a working knowledge of algebra and trigonometry may qualify to take
the course.
