FACILITIES AND SUPPORTING RESEARCH CENTERS
Department facilities include the Construction Materials and Structures Laboratory (CMSL), located beside the National Engineering Center, where the testing of construction materials such as concrete, steel and soils are conducted. Experimental research and student experiments on construction materials are also conducted on this laboratory. Cooperating university research centers with laboratory and computing facilities and equipment include the National Center for Transportation Studies (NCTS) and the National Hydraulic Research Center (NHRC), where most of the undergraduate and graduate transportation engineering and water resources engineering courses, respectively, are offered and conducted by faculty members of the Department who are affiliated to these centers.
