ADMISSION TO UNDERGRADUATE SCHOOL

BEGINNING FRESHMEN

Admission into the BS Civil Engineering program requires qualifying in the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT). However, due to limited facilities, the program is constrained to limit the new freshment enrollment (BS CE is a quota program).

SHIFTING/TRANSFERRING

General Requirements:

  1. 1. Has earned 30 Academic Units
  2. 2. Earned 15 units in Math, Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering Science For BS Students (9 units for BA, etc. with limited science subjects)
  3. 3. Shiftee from a Baccalaureate Degree Program (not Diploma)
  4. 4. For shiftees from Engineering who did not enter as freshmen, academic units in (1) pertains to units earned in U.P.
  5. 5. Minimum General Weighted Average of transfer students = 2.00 (University Rule)

Shiftees from Engineering who did not enter as freshmen shall be evaluated based on each original classification, adding 0.25 to the MSWA & GWA requirements for every 33 academic units taken in UP (in no case exceeding requirements for Priority 1).
